What a unique idea - blending edible cookie dough & ice cream! The staff were accommodating to us - allowing us to sample numerous flavors of both the cookie dough & ice creams. You get a lot for your money! A sweet treat for sure!!!
Awesome cookie dough and friendly service! Can’t wait to return.

The employees were snobs. Was greeting with blank faces and no welcome. Just silence. Had to ask for recommendations of flavors after a few minutes. It wasnt that great of food for the cruddy service provided. Wont ever return. Wont recommend this place either.
Didn't impress me. I agree with the person that said it felt like a "no soup for you" kind of line. Repeatedly told us to move in line to the side. Unfortunately the bathroom was in that direction and people in line are kept blocking the way to it and a table was next to us. We weren't the only ones confused. Not sure how close he wanted everyone in line, but I prefer my personal space...The guy took my daughter's order and filled it fine, but he kept me waiting to get to mine. My daughter was left not knowing what to say to the register guy LOL! Cookie dough was too rich for our taste and was basically wasted. Price? Almost $12 for a waffle cone and a cup. Not again! Even if it's for a good cause?? that others claim. Server was polite but obviously overwhelmed. Hope it improves.
So yummy friendly staff great service a must on your bucket list!
This is the best ice cream in the Tampa Bay area ! Plus, the staff was friendly and helpful.
Even with the big crowd from Christmas Boat Parade the management had appropriate staff to assist and the line moved quickly. Bathroom was clean. Ice Cream Sandwich was really good, the peanut butter cookie was cooked thru and crunchy. My two fellow eaters were pleased with the taste of the cookie dough and surprised at the amount provided. Well worth the short walk from the riverfront. Only 3 tables out front to sit, but as it was later in the evening was able to utilize those across the street to enjoy our deserts.
Awesome surprise for my hubby, it's So good! We'll definitely be back!
Came with our friends and Honesty was kind, patient, and wonderful to us all! We loved our cookie dough and ice cream!
Chef Terry and David were serving it up tonight. This place is amazing and affordable. Thanks guys!
Shoutout to the best server Terry!! Such an awesome experience! Thank you so much for a wonderful scoop of Toasted Marshmallow! It made my night

GREAT customer service and yummy dough! Thanks for the samples before we decided on our selection.
I went on a Sunday afternoon and did not have a wait at all. In fact, all of the emplooyees were super nice and gave a very generous portion! I had the S’mores and Chocolate Chip ones which are amazing! Highly recommend and I will DEFINITELY be back!!!
Tasted amazing and the staff was incredibly nice. We were able to try all cookie dough before having to choose. There were so many options and they were all great! We will be going again!

Staff was super friendly!!! Everything I tasted was delicious and they answered all my questions!

Really good flavors and experience. We ate several different things and shared with one another. I wish we had one in Jacksonville. I would visit again next time we are in Tampa. Very attentive staff, line moved quickly and generous portions.

Delicious treat and really friendly staff. There was a little line, but I appreciated that we weren't rushed through.
Experienced great desert and amazing cutomer service go see CHEF TERRY!!!

I went opening weekend and didn’t have a great experience, but decided to wait to leave a review because I expected there to be some glitches. Well we went back tonight and although behind the counter is a bit unorganized, we had a completely different experience this time! The dough and ice cream was delicious and the customer service was great! Will definitely be back and will recommend to others
Get in your car and go now! Every detail at Dough Nation contributed to a really nice visit. Cute looking concept, staffed with plenty of exceptionally knowledgeable people to keep the line moving, delicious treats and an inspiring mission. Thank you to Sydney for great suggestions and service! We drove from our office on Westshore to downtown, ate our treat and got back quickly. And thank you to Metropolitan Ministries for getting it so right. Great experience, we can’t wait to go back!
Delicious! I love that profits go to Metropolitan Ministries. Everyone that works here was very nice. The GM was super friendly and made my group of friends feel very welcome. I definitely recommend trying it out. Very unique!
I loved it. I got a waffle cone with sugar cookie dough. I was in heaven. My friend got ice cream which I could care less about. Very friendly and I thought the prices were great. A single scoop really translated to 4 scoops.
My friends and I visited Dough Nation for the first time on a Saturday around 1:00. There was no line, the staff was so friendly and courteous, and the portions were enormous! Definitely impressed with this establishment and their mission. Can't wait to try all the flavors!
I just drove here just to try the cookie dough and I Absolutely love it ! I got 3 different flavors Peanut butter Fluff, Double Chocolate Oreo, and sugar cookie all was great. And the People was nice an I had no wait in line
I have been eagerly awaiting this opening. IT'S EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH!! I mean...my life is changed forever. I walked in and Terry greeted us so warmly, described the menu, and then told me they supported METROPOLITAN MINISTRIES! Tampa please support them. Go. Eat. Give back. Then be like me...and eat leftovers with your coffee in the morning! Love.

I finally convinced my husband to go by there about 2 weeks ago. We were blessed with finding a parking spot on the next block & it was a Sunday so there was no charge for parking. We walked right in one other family was ahead of us. The people behind the counter, serving were very friendly & eager to share information about the cookie dough. A co-worker had gone previously and had advised one scoop of ice cream with one scoop of cookie dough....stating 2 scoops of cookie dough was overload....so that's what I did. Very pleased ....we did take half of ours home. Wish them years of success!
I love the concept of this place, and the customer service is great. I only wish they had a dough that was both gluten and dairy free (or vegan) for me to eat!
Terry is the real MVP though! Sugar cookie/Oreo is amazing
Overpriced. Smells like sweaty socks in there. (I should've walked out immediately after smelling that) Staff is rude. Guy yells at you to order and move. Cookie dough does not taste very good, and also not at a good temperature. Definitely won't be back.
The location is nice and the store front itself is really cute. Small in size, but it's well organized. Service is fine, could it be more efficient, yes, but they're also new and doing a great job for the space they have. The dough itself is very sweet and they have several flavors including gluten free and vegan so that's nice. We also tried the ice cream and that was really good as well. Overall it's a nice experience and a great novelty treat!
I loved this place. It was worth the hour drive. Would definitely go again. Just wish the building was a little bigger..lol

Was in Florida visited for the first time. Thought is was great. Employees were very nice & friendly. Chocolate cookie dough was awesome!! Great idea and good cause. Great name too
Great place, with a great cause. Well worth the visit. I wish they had toppings though! But everything else was fun
We got the peanut butter fluff dough with the chocolate fantasia ice cream. Oh my goodness it was fabulous! Of course there is going to be a line, and parking is always obnoxious downtown, but it was well worth it. Most definitely will be back! Such a cool concept!
Great atmosphere! Great management and even better cookie dough and ice cream!
Absolutely delicious! Even the gluten free! I actually tried Cookie Dō in NYC before Dough Nation and Dough Nation blows them out of the water in every way from the line, portion size, taste, and you can't forget the cause! Also, thank goodness for another place open late/on weekends downtown.
Wow! Delicious cookie dough and ice cream sundae! They really took care of me here and made me feel so special as a customer! Amazing service and delicious treat!
YUM. YUM. YUM. YUM. YUM. YUM. YUM. YUM.YUM. YUM.

I really loved it!! I am a huge sweets person anyway and between all of us, we had the double chocolate Oreo, chocolate chip, and Peanut butter fluff. All divine! We could only finish about half since super sweet and rich...but we took it home to enjoy later! The service was a little slow but mostly because customers took so much time deciding between all of the delicious choices. I highly recommend d this place!! And all the profits go to an amazing cause...Metropolitan Ministries!

Went for the first time today even though I work downtown. I came at a good time and they weren’t busy. The two employees working were very nice. Would go back. Oh yeah, and the cookie dough was awesome too
Amazing, line moves fast don’t let that detour you, worth the wait.
Ricky Luis Sakelaris
Delicious. My wife would always get on to me about eating the cookie dough cause of the raw egg so this place is fantastic. Baked some cookies while I was eating the cookie dough. Dream come true!
I got the Toasty S’mores and Double Chocolate Oreo cookie dough with French vanilla ice cream. Awesome. They also do ice cream sandwiches. Going back to get that next!
This could possibly be the single most wonderful dessert I have ever had! Sweet & Salty and larger than average extra chocolate chips.....absolutely delicious and the 2 people behind the counter were as pleasant as can be although they were extremely busy. A++++
I had higher expectations for the cookie dough, the cookie dough you have in the fridge tastes a lot better. But it was okay. I recommend getting ice cream with it, it might make your experience more enjoyable. Staff was okay. They weren't rude... but a little off.
The concept is novel and amazing! Delicious dough, delicious ice cream. Excellent service! Would love to see this expand and come to our hometown!
I was there today with my niece and nephew. Pretty much got in and out. The portions are huge even for cup size. Def shareable if you don't eat alot of sweets like myself. Parking... it's downtown so you should know what to expect.
Terry took good care of me and my Sunday. A new must eat in downtown Tampa!

Super yummy vegan chocolate chip! My boyfriend got the based coffee ice cream and he was in LOVE. Cute shop, and set up. The only thing that made our experience a little less special was the guy that was scooping for us wasn't the nicest guy in the world to order from. Other then that two thumbs up, and will go back for sure! :)

This place is amazing and obviously super yummy!!! The staff are so friendly and I can't say enough about the customer service! Thank you to the chefs, I did not regret my cheat dessert!!! And all for a good cause, that's a win/win!!!
The staff here take pride in creating the most beautiful sundaes you will ever see! Pure art. Worth the wait!!!
Such a wonderful experience! I sampled every flavor of cookie dough - to the vendor's recommendation. Every flavor is delightful! I walked out with $10 worth of happiness - NO SHAME! lol I will be returning often.
Wow, just wow! Heard about this new place, so I thought I would stop by while downtown. I was shocked the line extended to the entry door, lots of UT students. The staff was phenomenal. They took time and served each guest. When I say served, I mean they were creating works of art from the food. I got a sundae: sugar cookie dough, pumpkin and vanilla ice cream swirl, caramel, whipped cream, rainbow magic sprinkles, a 1/4 chocolate cookie and a cherry. Amazing! I'm just glad I don't work nearby, this could be addictive.
Dough Nation lived up to all the hype, and far exceeded my expectations!!!! The downside of the actual shop are the hours of operation... like, please stay open all the time!!!!! The flavors are fantastic, and some are quite unique. Despite it being closing time, Chef Byrd was so enthusiastic and super helpful... it definitely made my first experience that much sweeter!!!!
Dough nation is great little ice cream and cookie dough shop right near UT! Love the service and everything!
It was gross 😝 and staff was rude. Do not recommend.
Delicious!! Super friendly staff and worth the wait! And it helps a good cause!
Took my son yesterday and he loved it. Friendly staff. We definitely will be coming back.
Tasted great! Worth the two hour trip to try it! The staff was kind.

Ate the peanut butter cookie dough and got terribly sick. Vomiting and stomach cramps with diarrhea all night. Cookie dough is not covered in anyway so anything can fly into it. I would not recommend this place to anyone in fear of them getting sick.

Loved it! Exactly what I expected! There was a lil wait but totally worth it!

The line was long but it was worth the wait. It was very yummy

While I'm glad I went, I probably won't go again; I brought 5 other people with me. The staff was not very friendly. The dough tasted good but was entirely too sweet and rich to even make a dent in the portion they give you. I'd like to see them change it to where you get small, maybe tablespoon sized, scoops of dough and you can pick 3+ different flavors per cup (so a single would be 3 small scoops, etc.). I think this would be better because you wouldn't get sick of the having it and eating a large portion of one flavor.

Yummy and awesome employees! There was a line out the door, well worth the wait.

Reading the poor reviews on here is disappointing. This place JUST opened. This cookie dough thing is the new cool trend, and it’s the only place of its kind anywhere near downtown... so of course there is going to be a line out the door until the newness wears off a bit. It’s in a prime spot in the middle of Tampa street. I don’t care if you go to Dough Nation, the book store, or freaking CVS downtown... the parking is all the same. If you didn’t come prepared to walk far or pay for parking, that’s on you... not this place. This place is about feel good vibes and yummy treats. How sad that some can’t look past the first weeks glitches and see the good that comes from a place like this... leaving a bad review does what??!.... take away from the good that is coming from this place? Take a deep breath, step out of your negative bubble, and see the good in something. Geez. My husband, myself, and our 2 sons went tonight. We stood in line for 30 or so mins, but it wasn’t a huge deal because downtown Tampa is gorgeous and we love soaking it all in. Once we were inside, we noticed how hard these people are working to move the line along as fast as possible, and keep everything well stocked. For the amount of people in there, I think they handled the situation very well, and moved people along as well and swiftly as possible. My husband got a milkshake, my son got a scoop of sugar cookie dough, and I got a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough with mint chip icecream. All of them were so delicious and very generous portions! Well worth the money, and we have some waiting in the fridge for tomorrow! I wanted to jump behind the counter and give each of the workers a hug. They were working their butts off! Some of these people have been through way more than any of these complaining customers could have ever imagined. Props to every single one of you for working hard and creating a positive life for yourself. Don’t worry about the nay sayers... keep scooping up the good stuff, and working towards your goals. Tampa is proud of you :) and your cookie dough is delicious! We will be back for more, and we will be recommending you to everyone!
Expect to wait a bit since it's new, but the line today wasn't too bad. I had their Gluten Free chocolate chip which was very good! I got a single scoop and it was still too rich for me to finish ( I don't eat a ton of sugar as is and this literally put me in a sugar coma after LOL). My husband got a double scoop and he couldn't finish his either cause it was so sweet. Prices are comparable to that of coldstone or baskin robbins. Money goes to a good cause. The staff was kind of hit or miss. A few happy people there and a few that looked very overwhelmed (which is totally understandable for the amount of people in line). Parking is the only pain cause it's in downtown tampa so either you have to pay for parking at a lot or drive around a bit and see if you can find street parking. It's a cool concept, but definitely a once in a blue moon thing for us at this point.

Very enjoyable! Yes, there was yelling to keep the door closed, but understandable. I would just put a sign on the door to save you guys aggravation ~ you are too busy to have to worry about that stuff! Lol Anyway...they all seemed like big teddy bears back there, who were really working hard all day to handle the crowd ;) Much luck and success guys!!!
Parking - needed, not paying 20$ to go and buy cookie dough and leave . Still crowded but was moving fast and well controlled! Super friendly scoopers but need a better check out system of what was purchased for the cashier! Overall an awesome place and DELICIOUS!
My family and I went yesterday, as a special treat for the kids having a good week at school. We drove all the way from Bradenton. Four of us ordered a double of the Smores cookie dough. Out of the four of us, with that particular order, only one of us had anything that resembled Smores (Marshmallows, chocolate, etc.). The other three tasted good, but they were only chocolate chip cookie dough. That's it. It was regular dough with chocolate chips put on top. We were all somewhat disappointed. I did not have the time to get back into the long line to voice my concern, but I tried to call when we got back home. I was told that the number on the receipt was wrong and given another number. I called. No one answered.

Annoyed because the hours on Facebook say that their open until 10 pm and we showed up at 7 on a Thursday and there were people inside and outside and it was closed. There are no hours posted outside and it's a little irritating that the hours are misleading. If their hours are different on the weekdays that's fine but it should be made known either outside the establishment or online.
Just take my money, edible chocolate chip cookie dough and a little vanilla ice cream: $6. A sweet treat that hits the spot, and my "Dough Nation" supports the homeless and hungry - priceless. Just take my money! Yummo!
*Edit to 4 Star*: They started weighing out how much they are putting in the cup, which I get in order to control portions. But to pay that price for the small amount you’re now getting... it seems like half as much as before At least the money is going towards good. Went for the first time today around 2:30 and was basically able to walk right up to the counter. The staff was super friendly and helpful in helping me choose what I wanted. The value for the portion size is awesome and it was delicious! I will definitely be back and can’t wait to bring friends and family from out of state when they come to visit!
I got the cookie dough sundae. It was good, the plasticware can barely scoop it out... flimsy. The cup was even too small for the portion. It was a mess to eat. The staff definitely needs to warm up. I felt like I was in the soup line. Tables were filthy and flimsy. I don't think I'll go back. Parking is difficult as well.
Amazing!! The s'mores is the best. Love this place
Absolutely love this sinfully delightful indulgence. The draw are the edible cookie doughs that they offer; hence the clever name for this social enterprise that supports Metropolitan Ministries "Dough Nation". The portion our big and the price is more than fair. You gotta try the sweet and salty Carmel cookie dough with ice cream. WOW is putting it mildly.
Delicious! Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Will be back.
Drive from St. Pete to check it out & had to wait in an Incredibly long line (55 min) and staff seemed “stressed” out a lil bit and shouting and the place was very overly hot but my family enjoyed their dough & ice cream so I guess it was worth the trip & $10 parking
The treats were good but staff is rude. We walked in and got yelled and told not to hold the door open but all we were doing was simply walking in. Another worker couldn’t hear my friends order so he was told to speak up with his chest...lol really? Then the girl who rang us up said they normally would’ve charged us for water but they ran out so they were giving out cups of water for free and said it with such attitude, like we should feel so grateful. Not dying to go back here.
Had the sugar cookie with butter pecan ice cream sundae. Sooooo delicious!! Also had chocolate chip dough with mint chocolate chip sundae. Perfect for hot weather. Line was down the street but moved quickly. Employees were all serving with a smile. Great place! Will definitely be back.
It is completely mind boggling to me why anyone would wait 30+ minutes in line for this place. It is decent, but certainly not worth that wait.
Yes the line was long because they just opened but it was great! I recommend the peanut butter fluff! I wish one was closer to me. We will go again.

This place was so worth it!! Line was down the street. For opening weekend the line was moving, employees all had smiles on their faces. Very friendly. And the cookie dough was AMAZING!! I had a double ( sugar and chocolate chip) in a waffle cone. Couldnt eat it all so brought home and ate the rest the next day. Will be back for sure
We loved it! Very sweet and delicious. Will be back for sure. 🙂

Please get a store/restaurant in Minnesota........
Long line but you have to expect that for a new place like this. The staff was extremely accommodating. Great taste and portions where large. Definitely will come back. Thank you.
It didn’t taste as good as i though it would. The line was super long and I get that because they just opened up. My boyfriend got a shake but he couldn’t drink it because the straw was so small and the shake was so thick he couldn’t get anything out. We tossed our stuff out. Also super overpriced. Wish it was better :(
My favorite food group! The dough was delicious, the cookies were excellent, and the staff was very friendly!
Okay so cookie dough is great obviously but add a scoop of ice cream as well and dang, just awesome. And all the money goes to a good cause so what's not to like

Loved it! Went to the grand opening today with some friends from work. We all got something different and everything was amazing!!
Best of luck on your journey! Happy to be a part of the Grand Opening today - will be back for more cookie dough :)
Delicious but dangerous. 1 scoop is more than enough. Chocolate chip cookie Dough, sweet & salty cookie dough, & espresso chip ice cream were all amazing.

Sooooo Yummy! Great place and location. Flavors are amazing. Love it!

Absolutely amazing!! I had the sugar, chocolate chip, s'mores, peanut butter fluff & coconut macaroon. All were incredibly awesome, loaded with ingredients & no artificial tastes. The staff was very nice. Will be back for more.
